Intimate Wedding in Hayward, WI
Becca and her true love were wed in a lovely ceremony. Their wedding was absolutely picturesque – you will not want to miss their stunning Hayward wedding video, sure to inspire!
1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
During the planning process, everyone kept telling me that everything would come together and be perfect, but it was really hard for me to see the big picture. For example, I knew I wanted a neutral wedding palette, with pops of wine, and mismatched bridesmaid dresses, but it wasn’t until the big day that I got to see all of the grays, ivories, and taupe colors come together. All of the stars seemed to align and everything really did come together. I could not have “pinned” a more dream-worthy wedding!
2. Where did you get married?
Near Hayward, Wisconsin on Grindstone Lake. My husband’s family has a cabin on the lake and we got married on the front lawn facing the water. Our reception was under a white tent at a supper club in Hayward, The Ranch.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
We knew our friends and family would provide the most perfect perspectives of our big day if we provided the platform.
4. What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?
We want to remember how happy of a day it was. There are such few times in life that everyone you love from different backgrounds, phases, and journeys are all together in one place. There was a moment during our ceremony that our officiant told us to take a look around and take a picture in our minds so that we would always remember the moment—it was one of the most emotional (and best) parts of the day.
5. How did WeddingMix help capture those moments?
WeddingMix allowed different perspectives to capture the different moments of happiness we couldn’t witness because there was so much going on.
6. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
Be realistic about what truly matters and what you can get away with spending less money on. We didn’t want a lot of extra decor at our reception because it was outdoors and in a beautiful white tent; we let nature be our decor! We also stayed true to the vision we had from the beginning.
I think it is really easy to get caught up in what is expected or what you think you should do, but I kept telling myself if something wasn’t important or didn’t matter in the early stages of planning, it didn’t matter six weeks before the wedding.
Vendors:
We were fortunate that most of the vendors for our wedding are our friends – the music at the ceremony was by Kat Heron, a wonderful pianist and vocalist from Minneapolis, MN. Our officiant, Peggy Herlitzka, has been a family friend for years.During our cocktail hour a friend of ours, Paul Lawrence, was visiting from Taiwan, so he played acoustic music and it was such an amazing experience.
Other honorable mentions of great friends and people we would recommend to anyone:
Erik Eichstadt– photographer from Madison, WI
Angela Kemp – hairdresser near Minneapolis, MN
