1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?
Chad and I were married on 1-7-17. I love the winter and was hoping for a dusting of snow for beautiful pictures. My wish came true! Honestly, I am most proud of how relaxed and easy going my wedding atmosphere was and that had a lot to do with my friend Anne who volunteered to plan my wedding for me. I am most proud of her! I wanted something nice, something different and something unique to my husband and I, and Anne helped me accomplish it all. (Anne doesn’t do wedding planning for a living but she loves fashion and helping people with it. Shameless plug for my friend Anne Spahr Wellls.)
2. Where did you get married?
We got married at Thorncreek Winery in Aurora, OH. It was PERFECT and I fell in love with the venue the very first time I saw it.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?
WeddingMix was appealing to me for our wedding because it was different, fun and I liked the cost compared to hiring a videographer. I want to remember ALL of my beautiful day, but the one thing I will never forget is look on my daughter’s and stepson’s face when I married my husband.
4. What special moments from your wedding do you want to remember forever?
I will forever remember walking into the ceremony and realizing my husband wasn’t there waiting for me… Someone forgot to get him from the other side of the winery! Honestly, I worried for a quick second. Looking back now, it’s kind of funny.
5. How did WeddingMix help capture those moments?
WeddingMix helped capture all these special moments from the eyes of my friends and family who matter the most to us. It’s how they saw the event happening, which makes this so special.
6. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?
My wedding budget tips would be to compare and shop. Don’t be afraid of doing something different. Check out resale sites: there are a lot of good resale sites where you can get discounted and gently used wedding supplies. Lastly, instead of a sit down dinner, we had waiters/waitresses serve heavy appetizers. At the end of the day, nobody left hungry and we saved money by not having a sit down meal.
