Meghan + Steve | Idyllic October Evening in North Carolina
It might be snowing here at Storymix HQ in Chicago’s West Loop, but this email from Brad Jurnell of affiliate vendor Raleigh Event DJ just hit our inbox and warmed our hearts.
“The first Saturday in October is one of the most highly requested wedding dates by North Carolinian couples – and for good reason. The southern temperatures are off their summer peaks, foliage is just starting to show a hint of fall color, and with sunset occurring just a little before 7pm, evening celebrations, whether indoors or outside, are sure to be comfortable and enjoyable.
“For Meghan and Steve, [their wedding] was a picture perfect day. Our signature ‘Carolina Blue’ skies, temperatures in the upper 70’s, and the charm of being married in All Saints Chapel, located in Raleigh just four blocks east of the historic North Carolina State Capitol building, with its hewn plank floors, antique stained glass windows, and the exposed rafter vaulted ceiling provided the ideal setting for friends and family to celebrate. Meghan and Steve set the mood for fun with their first dance by performing to a special mix Steve created that included: ‘You Are The Best Thing’ by Ray LaMontagne, ‘My Love’ by Justin Timberlake, ‘The Twist’ by Chubby Checker and finally segueing to the ‘Cupid Shuffle’ by Cupid that summoned the wedding party to join in and open up the dance floor.
“To wrap up the festivities, the newlyweds exited the Chapel to be greeted by friends and family cheerfully waiting outside with a flurry of gracefully drifting bubbles. The new Mr. & Mrs. climbed into their awaiting peddle powered rickshaw ‘limousine’ and road off to their downtown Raleigh honeymoon suite amidst the joyful cheers of friends and family and the charming chimes of a bicycle bell announcing their journey into the night and on to happily ever after.”
How sweet 🙂 Now, how many days until summer again?
