Amanda + Zach | Tipsy Groomsmen Serenade Bride with “I Love you Baby” @WeddingMix
Gorgeous WeddingMix bride Amanda had every detail of her Autumn wedding carefully planned out…until her groom and his buddies decided to surprise her with a spur-of-the-moment song!
Luckily, our cameras caught this fun, priceless moment; proving that life’s most special moments are often totally unexpected!
On September 22, 2013, Zach and I were married at The Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Our ceremony took place in a beautiful outdoor area as we were surrounded by our family and friends. Once we were officially Mr. & Mrs. Wirt we made our way indoors to begin the reception. This was what we had spent the most time planning over the 19 months of our engagement.
The reception began with us entering and beginning a dance party with all eyes on us. From there, we listened to the toasts, greeted our guests, took endless pictures and danced our professionally choreographed first dance as husband and wife.
If you can’t tell by now, I am a bit of a control freak and planning our wedding brought out these traits even more, I had every last detail planned out. The moment our DJ asked me to take a seat in the chair in the middle of the dance floor, as my husband and his groomsmen stood off to the side, I felt my control slipping away as I had no idea what they had planned.
After a few drinks, the groomsmen were feeling spontaneous and had requested a microphone and the DJ to play a song. The men had not practiced and barely knew the words, but like they say, it is the thought that counts!
Being serenaded by my husband, brother-in-law and 6 of my husband’s best friends is a moment I will never forget. These men were able to take the control away from me and surprise me and allow me to enjoy the night and not worry about anything other than creating lifelong memories! I feel honored to have such great friends and to have this amazing memory that I will cherish forever!!
