Shake it Up Baby! Camisha and Clarence’s Love Story
Camisha and Clarence wanted a slideshow to show their guests at their upcoming wedding and turned to Storymix to make it happen. Our Old Movie theme was perfect to use for their engagement session photos at a vintage diner. After seeing the video Camisha expressed her delight, “I received it and love it!! Thanks so much!!” Now they are considering using our WeddingMix service to capture their big day on video.
We’ll let Camisha tell their love story which will help you enjoy their slideshow even more.
We met in 2008. As a side business, Clarence is a party promoter and so am I. At one of his parties, I felt inclined to introduce myself. Not because I was interested in him at the time, but because I had spoken to him on numerous occasions via email and simply wanted to put a name to a face.
His intention was the same. And so we met.
From that point on, our friendship began followed by our relationship. If you asked me years ago had I believed in love at first sight, I probably would have said no. But now that I’ve experienced it firsthand, I can say that it truly does exist. Now that’s not to say that we knew we loved one another immediately, because we had no way of knowing that. Shoot, we were only on our second date! lol But there was definitely was an immediate spark. maybe even a sizzle:-)
As for the proposal day, here it goes:
It was April 30, 2009. The last day of the month. This is significant because Clarence made it so. You see….that month, he used “April Diamond Showers” for the theme of his party. Me, being the sharp tack that I am:-) (but mainly because we already had discussed marriage and family), started asking him if it meant he was going to ask me a major question sometime that month! He teased me about the wording for the entire month! We even visited one of my favorite jewelry stores (which was in March so that meant I was tortured even more! lol). He wanted me to show him what I liked. From that point on, I was practically jumping in my skin with anticipation! lol My closest girlfriend (and Maid of Honor) didn’t help matters. When I told her what I suspected was in store for me, she started painting the “maybe he’ll do this” “maybe he’ll do that” scenarios. I was ready to pull my hair out! lol
So here it was….the last day of April and still no proposal, no ring, no nothing. Disappointment (more like, lip pouting 🙂 came about. He called as he usually did. We talked for a little bit, our normal “how was your day” convo, but my words were very limited. In closing, we agreed we see each other later on that evening. A few hours later, I went to his apartment. We were sitting in the living room, watching tv, when out of no where, comes the ring! Clarence got down on one knee, said “Camisha, It’s still April Diamond showers” and here we are planning our very own wedding!
