Kathleen + Jon | Vintage Monte Cristo Ballroom Wedding in Washington
Today’s featured wedding video showcases the Washington wedding of Kathleen and Jon, who wed in a gorgeously vintage hotel venue with nearly 200 of their closest family and friends. This WeddingMix couple knew that their wedding was a day to celebrate their marriage; but also a celebration of two families becoming one. Check out all the priceless moments Jon and Kathleen’s friends and family captured through their own eyes using WeddingMix!
A lifetime of thoughts and dreams about how your wedding would look, and it only took nine months to plan. Our wedding captured everything combining our lives together. We celebrated our families, our friends, and future together.
We picked a wonderful venue called the Monte Cristo Ballroom which is a renovated hotel built in 1925 in Everett, Washington. We had the wedding in the main entry of the hotel which we filled with yellow and white flowers and nearly 200 of our family and close friends. The night was perfect; it incorporated traditional elements from Kathleen’s Filipino heritage, to a cake fashioned into a Seattle Dick’s Deluxe Cheeseburger which we ate on our first date. Our wedding was not only a day to celebrate our marriage, but a celebration of our families coming together. We had all of our nieces and nephews (10!) in the wedding, as well as our siblings as the officiant, and other important contributors to our ceremony. There is a tremendous feeling of love that surrounds you on your wedding day, and we wanted to find every way possible to capture those special moments in time.
The wedding video was something we both wanted. We thought the pictures were great, but what better way to show true expressions of joy and happiness than on video? The video is something that we can watch together for years to remind us of the wonderful day that we both joined out our lives together. We loved the idea of having WeddingMix since our friends and family would be making the video for us through their eyes, instead a videographer. We were not disappointed!
