When you live in a small town 4 hours away from any large airports, the exact “where” of the wedding becomes really important. We knew that Seattle would be our best bet and, after months of searching and some tense moments, we finally settled on the Edgewater Hotel overlooking Eliot Bay. To make the ballroom more us, we DIY-ed tons of stuff and brought out an eclectic vintage elegance that really resonated with us as a couple and our families.
March 29, 2014 dawned cold, grey and just barely not raining (Which we knew could happen, it is the Pacific Northwest after all.) Early on in our wedding planning process we knew that rain was a very likely occurrence and that tons of outdoor photos might not be in our future.

We started looking around for a videographer to capture those special, candid moments but were a little shocked at the wedding video in Seattle prices and knew we could find a solution that met our needs. Looking around the ballroom on our wedding day we wanted to remember all the decorations we’d made and the beautiful flowers we had, but more importantly Weddingmix enabled us to capture forever the sound of our cousins meeting and giggling over some best forgotten story. Or the huge smile that spread across my aunts face when Kelsey’s dad danced with her. Photos captured so much of our wedding, but Weddingmix helped us capture everything else!
