Hoffman Haus Wedding in Fredericksburg Texas | Ellen + Darrell
Ellen and Darrell had what might have been the cutest wedding ever, at the Hoffman Haus in Fredericksburg, Texs. Right down to her reaction when the officiant pronounced them husband and wife! Their wedding was so cute, in fact, that it was featured on Style Me Pretty last week. Read to the end to see why I think that even these amazing photos from The Nichols are not enough to tell the WHOLE story of their wedding.
Here are some details from her Dad about the gorgeous wedding:
Ellen pretty much planned the entire ceremony, purchased and made all the decorations. She and her mom, also made all the cookies, brownies and toppings on that marvelous ice cream bar/dessert table in the video. My son-in-law isn’t a big cake eater and asked for the ice cream bar. Pretty much the entire wedding went into the back of a rental truck on Thursday morning and got driven from our home in Austin to the wedding venue in Fredericksburg, TX. We had the entire bed/breakfast booked for our wedding party and, as the guests arrived, they helped unload the truck and decorate the place throughout Thursday and Friday.
The father/daughter dance was choreographed by my other daughter, the maid of honor, Robin.
Ellen’s wedding photos and more story about the planning and big day are also featured on Style Me Pretty, which brings up an interesting point. The blog post on Style Me Pretty features several amazing photos from The Nichols. The husband/wife photography team captured the beauty of all the DIY details created by Ellen and her family.
And yet, no matter how amazing their photography, and it is, there are certain details that simply can’t be contained in a photograph. For instance, did you catch Ellen’s reaction when they were pronounced husband and wife? Did you see the father/daughter dance lovingly choreographed by the bride’s sister? The video quality was certainly not on par with the photographs and yet without the video, those memories would be JUST that… memories.
Ariane–thank you so much for sharing! I’m so glad we have all the footage–especially from the ceremony, which went by so fast and was so important to me. This is a great sneak peek, and our family is going to be so happy to have the hour-long version, too. Thank you, thank you!
Ellen, you and your Dad were such a joy to work with. I LOVED your father/daughter dance! The full feature version was fun too because of all the wedding prep and honeymoon footage on there. 🙂
