1.What were you most proud of when it came to planning your wedding?
How all of the planning, DIY projects and things we bought and borrowed came together on the day of the wedding perfectly (thanks to my awesome wedding planner!). I also love how unique everything was and that my whole family pitched in with all of the projects. Now I get to keep all of their handmade pieces and that is so special to me!

2. Where did the wedding take place?
On the Eastern Shore in Chance, Somerset County, MD. It was a beautiful piece of property on the water, right across from my Dad’s marina. That area holds a lot of special memories and I love that I was able to get married in a place with so much family history.
3. What made you choose WeddingMix for your big day?
After hearing prices from videographers in the area, we decided we would rather spend that money on other aspects of the wedding. I was still bummed that I wouldn’t have any video footage from our day. I remember seeing an ad, maybe on Pinterest for WeddingMix, and immediately started researching. I LOVED how your friends and family would be the ones capturing all of the special moments. It seemed more intimate and fun, so I decided to go with WeddingMix…and looking back now I wouldn’t have changed that decision. It really is so much fun to see your wedding through the eyes of your loved ones! It was something that made it that much more special and unique.
4. What moment do you want to always remember about your wedding?
EVERYTHING. If I could re-live that entire day, I would. But if I have to choose…I think one of my favorite moments was coming down the stairs to my bridesmaids for the first time in my dress. That moment was when it really hit me that I was getting married! The first look with my Dad was really special, and of course the first look with my (now) husband. All three of these events were the most emotional of the day. I loved standing up in front of everyone and promising to love each other forever, and the confetti exit! The first dances were great moments, and I loved the speeches from my Dad, Matron of Honor and Stephen’s Best Man. Cutting the cake and dancing were all pretty awesome too! Like I said, EVERYTHING.
5. Was WeddingMix able to help capture those moments?
My friends were able to get so much footage of all of these special moments, and now I get to watch them whenever I want!
6. Can you give us your biggest wedding tip?
There is ALWAYS, always going to be money spent you did not plan for. Set aside some extra money for these little things. They add up!
