1. What part of your wedding planning are you most proud of?

I’m most proud that we were able to remember what was important, and not let the small details drive us crazy! We are both perfectionists and love hosting, so it was easy to start getting caught up things that didn’t matter like candle holders and napkin folds. But at the end of the day, we just wanted to have the most epic party for all of our friends and family so everyone could have a great time, and I think we accomplished that!

We got married at Holland Ranch in San Luis Obispo, CA.

3. Why was using WeddingMix appealing for your big day?

Using WeddingMix was appealing because we really wanted video footage, but could not afford a videographer on top of the photographer. I loved the affordability, and I thought it would be really fun to see the evening from so many different perspectives. We were so busy the entire day that we missed a lot, so it was really exciting to be able to see all of the details and events from so many different angles and viewpoints. It was also a fun way for our friends and family to get involved!

4. What were the most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture on your special day?

The most important moments that WeddingMix was able to capture are the moments that we couldn’t. Walking down the aisle, our first dance, the bouquet and garter toss, these are all moments that we physically could not capture ourselves, so it was great to let our guests get involved and have fun with it.

5. What is your top wedding budget tip(s)?

Pick 2-3 details that are most important to you! Things add up FAST, and if you try to do too much, it is impossible to stick to your budget. For us, the food, music and photography were most important, so we booked those first and allocated a large chuck of our budget there.
